Brief
Produce a set of animatable paper origami puppets for a broadcast TV Ident, commissioned by CiTV.
Special considerations
Consider how to produce the models so that they can be cut back and reposed. It is also necessary to design a a sharks fin for which there was no origami pattern.
Research
Part of the research involved attending the British orgami society sessions held at cadburys, birmingham.
From this, along with learning how to read an origami pattern, it was possible to produce and original design fro the sharks fin.
It was also necessary to obtain permission from the origami artists and their relatives so that we could use their patterns in the production.
It was a real pleasure to speak to the artists of patterns I had reproduced as a child…
